Istrian fritule
Fritule are an integral part of Istrian cuisine
Fritule are always present at festivals, events, and celebrations. They are most common during Carnival, which usually takes place in February. Usually, they are made only with dough and baked in oil, but some also contain raisins, brandy, apple shavings, and candied fruits. They are served either with chocolate or with sugar.
