Ballet parade
Istarsko narodno kazalište Pula - Friday, 30.06.2023. 21:00. h
On June 30th, as part of the Pula Cultural Summer, the Istrian National Theatre in Pula is hosting the Ballet Parade. This event is produced by the Croatian National Theatre Ivan pl. Zajc from Rijeka, and will feature four significant choreographic works:
The Rite of Spring
"The Rite of Spring" by Igor Stravinsky, choreographed by Maša Kolar. This piece is a celebration of life, illustrating the synergy between nature and humanity, individual and society. Despite being over a century old, the piece continues to inspire audiences.
Bolero
The second performance is a unique ballet on trampolines, choreographed by Andonis Foniadakis to Maurice Ravel's "Bolero". The dancers will perform synchronized bouncing and dancing on small trampolines. Since its first performance in 2018, this innovative ballet has consistently impressed audiences.
The Firebird
The third piece is a duet from Igor Stravinsky's "The Firebird", interpreted by Marco Goecke. It's a creative take on two characters: a dancing bird and a flying man.
Medium Rare
The final act of the evening is "Medium Rare", a high-energy choreography by Israeli choreographer Nadav Zelner. This piece promises to be an energetic and expressive performance.
The Ballet Parade starts at 21:30. It's set to be a night of top-tier ballet in the beautiful environment of the Istrian National Theatre.
