The Gente di Valle d'Istria exhibition is the display and testimony of people from Valle who had to leave their homeland.
Gigliola Cnapich, born in 1952 in the Altamura refugee camp, has collected 150 years of history, customs, and traditions of Bale and testimonies of exiles through photos.
The author collected about 120 photos that are now on display in the Soardo-Bembo Castle, home of the Valley Community of Italians.
Cnapich's exhibition is a way to pay tribute to her homeland and her parents.
