Multimedia exhibition about the fortification system of Pula

After two years of research, two historians from the Historical and Maritime Museum of Istria succeeded in opening a multimedia exhibition on Pula's fortification system

It was during the recent global pandemic that historians Katarina Marić and Katarina Pocedić took the opportunity to visit Istrian fortifications in order to prepare for their special exhibition. The purpose of this was to provide visitors with as much information as possible about the complex defense system that once existed.

When Pula was under the Habsburg Monarchy, it was a major war port, with a fortification system covering 700 square kilometers, and Fort Forno in Bale and two other forts near Bale are the first in that system.

The exhibition includes an info center, historical information, interactive maps, and contemporary photos and it will be on display for at least five years.
